STEP 1: Research
This process is something you have already started by looking at our website. It is very important that you have completed your market research into the various franchise opportunities available in franchising.
STEP 2: Pre–Qualification
Initially complete the online Pre–approval Questionnaire. This will register your contact details and allow us to pre qualify your application before speaking to you.
STEP 3: Meet us at an open day
One of the best ways to learn more about being a bake&TAKE Franchisee is to come and talk to us. You will see a presentation of the business model and will have an opportunity to ask as many questions as you need. Part of the day will be a visit to a company owned shop where you can see the operation for your self.
STEP 4: Appraisal Day
Prior to this you will be expected to complete a Franchise Application Form and supporting documents. Once our office is in receipt of the completed application form and supporting documents a suitable time is arranged for the Appraisal Day. The day will be divided into a one to one interview with one of the Directors and working in a company shop for a few hours. You will be evaluated on both of these.
STEP 5: The Offer
Once you have passed the appraisal and we have taken up all references both personal and business we can then offer you the opportunity to become a franchise. This will be subject to financial approval. If you accept then we can progress with the next stage.
STEP 6: Finance Approval
You will be introduced to our independent finance consultant who will arrange for any finance required. He will also produce a personal net worth statement and evaluate whether you are able to afford the Franchise. Even if you do not require borrowing he will still have to evaluate your application from a finance point of view.
STEP 7: Premises & Business Plan
You will work with our property agent to find suitable premises. These must be signed off by a bake&TAKE Director. Finally we would invite you to Head Office to work on the business plan to match the premises.
STEP 8: Training
Once the finance and the lease are agreed in principle, a date is set for your training course. This course will be 4 weeks in total, may involve one week training in germany maybe at the BackWerk Academy in Germany.
STEP 9: Franchise Agreement
Prior to your training course you will receive the Franchise Agreement. This must be signed and the balance of the Initial Franchise Fee paid. Training cannot commence without this.
STEP 10: Opening of shop
This will include working with our shop fitters and head office team to get your shop ready for opening. It will include pre opening marketing and merchandising.
